Bio: Duran is 23 years old and was born & raised in South Africa. Duran played semi-professional rugby in South Africa and holds an Irish passport. Duran has decided to move from the Sharks setup to join the Irish 7's setup in Dublin. Duran was playing rugby in KwaZulu Natal for Collegians 1st Team at fullback in the Premier Division. Provincially, he was majorly involved with the Sharks u19 and u21 setups as well as the Sharks Sevens squad. Duran also represented the South African Invitational Sevens Rugby Team in The Dubai 7s in 2018 & won Varsity College RFC ‘Player of the Year’ in 2017 and won the ‘Universities of South Africa Sports Association’ Rugby Player of the Tournament in 2016. Standing at 1.78m tall and weighing in 84kgs, running the 100m in 10.86 seconds, Duran is able to offer skills in both decision making, defense and finishing. His preferred position is fullback (15).
